To provide technical, operational and administrative leadership for the efficient and effective performance of the administrative functions of the Service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides inputs for the formulation of policies 2. Ensures the efficient and effective management of the human, material and financial resources of the Directorate; 3. Ensures the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the programmes and activities of the Directorate. 4. Exercises oversight responsibility for the efficient and effective management of the accoutrement of the Service 5. Ensures the organization of meetings, conferences and workshop of the Service 6. Ensures the coordination of plans to ensure the availability of resources to support the activities of the Service 7. Ensures the development of comprehensive database on material resources of the Service 8. Ensures the development, review and implementation of guidelines for the management of Public relations, records and statistics and the provision of service 9. Ensures the implementation of recommendations contained in audit reports for the Directorate 10. Ensures the close collaboration with various Directorates and stakeholders of the Service in the performance of functions of the Directorate 11. Ensures development and implementation of effective records management systems for the Service 12. Ensures the development and implementation of administrative systems of the Service 13. Ensures the preparation of the budget and work plan of the Directorate 14. Ensures the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the Directorate 15. Oversees the implementation of the Performance Management System within the Directorate 16. Supervises and appraises immediate subordinate staff
