Our Core Functions
The Ghana National Fire Service is mandated to undertake the following:
Public Fire Education
- Create and sustain awareness of fire hazards
- Heighten the role of the individual in fire prevention
Technical Advice
- Advise on building plans for fire safety
- Inspect and advise on fire extinguishers
Training & Volunteers
- Coordinate and advise on firefighting training
- Train and organize Fire Volunteer Squads
Rescue & Evacuation
- Offer rescue and evacuation services in emergencies
Other Functions
- Any other function incidental to the objectives of the Service
